California Trip Part 2

California Trip - Part 2, Chloe's Birthday, March Happenings...

The next day, bright and early, we headed to California Adventure Land

Where we met up with Eric's bunch

Cars Land was a hit!

It was a bit cold and windy which meant that the crowds were lighter than normal and we got to ride on many more rides than we would have otherwise!

The Incredicoaster was a favorite and several went on this ride over, and over, and over and over....!

We stopped at a pizza and pasta place for dinner

It started to rain, so we headed to the indoor activities which turned out to be extraordinarily awesome!

This one was a class taught by a real animator

The kids loved it so much!

We got some great pictures with Mickey and Minnie

The little ones warmed up to them!

Endless rides!

At the end of the day, Luke got so tired...

We took a break to get some onion rings and fries

With a flash...

A fun time was had by all!

The next morning, we checked out of the airbnb and headed for Little Tokyo!

We saw the Japanese store that carried the very first fortune cookies

It had a quaint Japanese village atmosphere

We saw a Girl's Day display

And ate at a rotating sushi bar

Everyone loved the robot waiter!

Tim found his Japanese for Kids Flash Cards at the Kinokuniya bookstore

Tim found some beautiful sakura mochi (so yummy!)

And Chloe found a cool hat

We got some dinner and then headed to the airport

The plane ride home was delightful!

Chloe's birthday was the next day!

Tim and I were able to attend the funeral for Allen's mother on Monday (Tim was still on Spring Break)

We went to a resource fair for Luke

LaNae attended several ward's RS birthday celebrations

This one had an Alice and Wonderland theme, so fun!

Luke and Amy were out of school and we went to Ikea to look around and get a spatula for Luke and Amy got some new bedding...

LaNae's dear friend, Nori, took a turn for the worse and some friends from our Tokyo days had a luncheon for her...

The grandkids came over

What a cutie!

Amy made rosemary bread and curry!

LaNae watched the boys so that Brian and Chloe could attend the temple

We had a "Ratatouille" night
Amy made a charcuterie board and Leland made Ratatouille!

It was amazing!

Tim and LaNae went to the temple

We continued to make gyoza many, many times!
