Labor Day hike, Temple Trip, Kelsee's birthday...

First off, it was this terrific couple's wedding anniversary.
Yes, it has been a whole year since they tied the knot! And what a power couple they are!

It was Labor Day, so we decided to go on a family hike up to Donut Falls in Little Cottonwood Canyon.  We left pretty early which was perfect!

There was so much gorgeousness up there!

We saw three moose on the hike and lots of deer too

It is a bit of a climb to get right up to the actual donut-but oh, so worth it!  You can go into under the rocks and behind the falls.  It is so much fun!

Look at that darling face!  All of them are rays of sunshine!!!

After the hike, we picked up a couple of pizzas and watch Star Wars Rebels with Brian and Chloe

Then they headed back to their apartment and we decided to go to Highland Glen for FHE

This Pecan Pie recipe was Grandma Fleeta Stapleton Moritzky's-it is in her handwriting!  She got the recipe from her niece, Ruby Irene who was a notoriously awesome cook!
Kelsee had a birthday and we got to have these two cuties over!

LOVE our time with them!

Tim and I went to the temple

On Sunday, we visited Uncle David and played Phase 10 with him and had fun catching up!

Letter from Todd:

1. Highlights of the week! Probably the biggest one is that we got to hike Mount Tsukuba, which was SO MUCH FUN! We got 3 potential investigators (All around my age) to hike with us. IT WAS A BLAST!! Definitely gonna do it again. I have gotten refocused on dieting and working out, and was especially grateful to get to exercise extra and still have fun.
2. I have been eating apples and peanut butter this week! Switching to bananas next week!
3.It's been way rainy! It basically started raining at the beginning of the summer and hasn't stopped for us! We still go out a lot though.
4. I think I am speaking in Portuguese meeting next week, in Portuguese.. So that is gonna probably crash and burn!
5. She is from Peru, she served a mission in Peru. Her husband is Japanese, and saw her while he was on a temple shift in the Tokyo temple, fell in love, and learned how to speak Spanish in 1 month for her. They are happily married with 2 AWESOME daughters who are hilarious. They all speak perfect Spanish and Japanese!

Just a small comment about all of the Hurricanes and Earthquakes.. Is the second coming happening? Cuz on this side of the world, America is all over the news and it seems like the country is falling from so much natural disaster. ANYWAYS.

This week has been great! Transfer calls are in 13ish days, and I am praying super hard I stay in Ushiku. We had interviews with President Nagano, and lots of finding! Found some new investigators including T, who I am especially excited for.

Tell Luke to keep it up!!! I gotta start memorizing them so I can recite them with him!! What a trooper.

That hike looks GORGEOUS!! I cant wait to go on that hike with y'all!!

YOUR ROOM IS IN THE MATH BUILDING?? Why?? That is way weird.. It's gotta be kinda nice, I guess, but I won't get used to that.. Also, I didn't recognize anyone from that group at Waterford.. I am old!

Sorry about your computer, that must of been rough.. Please update me on the event! I know this is the 10 year anniversary, so something huge is gonna happen for sure! We would always watch that event together, it's gonna be strange if we don't freak out together!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Your kids are adorable! (Link looks like me *cough* *cough*) I am so happy for you!

Can I have Hosea Stout's journal?? I decided I wanted it like a month ago, but I keep forgetting to ask!! If they have a PDF or something, I would love to get to read that before I go to bed at night.

Love to all,
