NO SCHOOL, WORK FROM HOME, NO CHURCH, STAY HOME ISOLATION...
On March 13th we got word that all the schools in Utah would be closed and would be going online because of the coronavirus. Tim got word that after Waterford's Spring break, they would extend the break two days while the teachers had some training and then would start online on the 18th. LaNae would also be home in isolation for two weeks from work and Brian would be online instead of going to BYU. UVU would start online classes after their spring break on March 23rd. So there are six of us at home round the clock now! Honestly, it has been rather nice in most ways to be home!
LaNae picked up Luke's school work packet and Mrs. Gifford said, "They are telling us there is a good chance we won't be back to school this year, so I've tried to put everything in this bag..." Luke got a fancy Kikkoman soy sauce shirt in the packet which he LOVES!
We've had a lot of rain lately and the crocuses and daffodils are starting to come up-BEAUTIFUL!!!
For Adaptive PE, Luke is supposed to exercise for at least 20 continuous minutes per day. Tim has been taking him on bike rides on the tandem...
For St. patrick's Day, we had our traditional green breakfast-green waffles!
LaNae picked up Kayla at the airport at Midnight. She will be staying with her sister Rachel at BYU-Idaho for a bit. The next morning at 7 am, there was a 5.7 earthquake in Magna-about 40 miles from here. It was L O N G!!! It ended up taking out the power to about 40,000 and doing some damage to the airport, which had to close. On top of that, we looked outside to see some hail!
Luke had seminary online and his PE class and made an appointment for speech therapy next tuesday...
LaNae made some freezer meals and got a kick out of the word "gather" on the baking dish.
At this current state, we are not supposed to gather-ha!
On Wednesday, the 18th, LaNae and Luke took Kayla up to meet Rachel. We stopped at the Tremonton Cemetery to see Grandpa, and Grandma Peterson's graves. We have a lot of family there: Aunt Beth (Grandma Petersen's sister), Wendy Petersen and Uncle Jerry to name a few...
We met Rachel about half way at a reservoir near Preston, Idaho
The next day, tim took Luke outside to get some sun
And LaNae took Luke for a walk around Highland Glen Lake
There are currently no church meetings because of the virus so we had church at home. Brian played a few numbers on the piano, LaNae played Abide with Me, Chloe played, I Am a Child of God on the Ukelele. We had the Sacrament at home. It was neat! We love studying Come follow Me at home!
We got to talk to Sister Stout. She got her visa extended six months by a miraculous turn of events. She is training a new sister. They are indoors now because of the virus, but she is in great spirits and they are doing well...
