ABOUT US...

We met at Thanksgiving time and fell in love pretty much at first sight.  Our life together has been full of SCHOOL (14 years all together for Tim who earned his doctorate in Education, and a Masters degree in Library Science for LaNae who started working on it a week after we got married), five beautiful children who have taught us much, and a 12 year stretch of living overseas in Japan.  It has been a wild ride and our goal going forward is to try and get life to SLOOOOOOW DOOOOOWWWWN a bit.  We'll see how that goes!  We love to hike, watch movies together, LaNae likes to read, and Tim loves keeping up with the latest in technology.  Tim has also written several books.  Mostly we love being with our family and extended family--they are the best!

OUR KIDS...

Rick is the oldest.  He was a missionary in Sapporo, Japan and speaks fluent Japanese.  He is very creative and loves art.  Currently he is exploring his options and we hope that comes along sooner rather than later ;).  He loves having FUN!!!  Brian is a missionary in Ukraine.  He loves basketball and soccer and he plays the baritone and tuba.  Todd also plays the baritone and tuba.  He loves weight lifting, bow ties, and hanging out with friends.  Amy loves dance, especially ballet.  She swims and also loves hanging out with her friends.  Luke is the youngest.  He has autism and doesn't talk much.  He loves to roller blade, swim, and play on the zip-line. We go to Oklahoma every year to visit LaNae's parents and siblings.  This blog is a place to keep track of our comings and goings and acts as a family history to help us remember life's precious moments.  Thank you for stopping by!
