Tim goes to Princeton for a week, Grandma Shaffer turns 103 Years old!, Jared, Taylor and Beckham come for a visit...
Tim was asked to join several other Japanese teachers from different parts of the United States to come to Princeton University in New Jersey and be on a committee to write practice questions for the AP Japanese exam. He went for a week and the committee wrote about 70 questions to add to the two exams that were released for practice/study.
They were able to also visit the Fine arts Museum on campus and see Monet, Van Gogh, etc. paintings. What a beautiful campus!!!
Since Wesley came early, we decided we could get away for a weekend and attend Grandma Shaffer's 103rd birthday celebration in Boise, ID. It was fun to see so many family there and so, I guess really this was also the sixth family reunion we've been able to attend this summer! We've seen tons of family and it has been the BEST!!!
Luke was super terrified of this cat that was hanging out at the church in Boise-ha!
August 6th was the 8th year anniversary of Tim's dad's passing. We miss him!!!
Jared, Taylor and Beckham arrived on Thursday for a visit. Brian and Chloe brought little Wesley for to see them, Leland and Eric and Mindy's family also came for Sunday dinner.
Can't get enough of our new grandson-Wesley! LOVE HIM!!!
The secret is out, and now Tibble Fork is crazy crowded and congested all the time.
It is so beautiful there!
We went to Stephen Brailsford's wedding reception in Salt Lake. He is Todd Leland's long time friend for the last 15 years. This kid took an interest in Japanese and really flew with it. He was called on a mission to Kobe and got even more fluent and now teaches Japanese at Lone Peak High School-amazing! So happy for him and Rachel!!!
We had a huge downpour rainstorm...
These two cuties came over...
We took Taylor and jared on a hike to Rocky Mouth waterfall in Sandy
May put this little May doll out on the couch-so cute!
