Temple, Cecret Lake Hike, Tim's birthday, River Rafting down the Provo River...

Tuesday Tim went to the temple and did initiatories. Had limited time because LaNae had work at 9 am. Ran into Uncle Rick, who said he was going to do sealings with Shauna, and that Tim could take his place. Good thing too, because he might not have made it back in time otherwise. Such a blessing! Later that day Tim took Luke on the train. We went to Farmington and back. Took about 3 hours, and he was able to get more done that usual, since Luke was mostly occupied and happy looking out the window, and listening to music on his iPad.

Friday we went to Jared Mason’s wedding reception and saw a bunch of people from Tokyo. So fun. This week Tim set a goal to create some original music he can use with his stout sensei videos. Monday he started researching how to make music on an iPad Pro, and by the end of the day, he had learned how to use a new app called BeatMaker, and laid down 6 or 7 layers (drums, bass, piano, etc) and made his first composition. Tim has shown it to Leland, LaNae, Spencer, Daniel and others, and they all say it’s phat! Or, at least that’s my word, they all said it was great. Haha.

Wednesday was Pioneer Day-we took Susan, Spencer, and Daniel up to the Cecret Lake hike. The best part of that hike is the chair lift, but unfortunately that was closed. Apparently it’s running on weekends, throughout the summer, not weekdays! Luke resisted a lot, so LaNae stayed with him in the meadow, while the rest of us went on to the lake and then came back. We kinda need a plan for Luke! He made this hike last year, but I don’t thing he could have make it this year, at least not without a lot of pushing. Poor kid! We need to get him out on hikes a bit more, and cut back on the yaki-soba - haha

Saturday was Tim's birthday.  Amy called right after breakfast in bed!

Tim:

For my birthday LaNae got 4 tickets to go down the Provo River with a river guide in a big raft. Luke was so cute, as soon as we got into it, he yelled, “A boat! River Rafting!” Not kidding, that’s what he said! It took about 1 and half hours, and the views were gorgeous. I can’t believed I’ve lived in Utah so long, and have never floated the Provo River before. But, I can definitely see going a lot more. But, next summer we are going back to Deer Creek and renting sea do's! That will be a blast. I told Brian and Chloe that I would hold Wesley while they take their turns!

Tim requested a healthy birthday cake this year and found a Blueberry Chia seed pudding recipe:  Blueberries, chia seeds, almond milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla, lemon juice and lemon zest, honey-YUM!!! We went to see Toy Story 4 after a gyoza dinner.  Happy birthday, Tim!!! Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!
