Pumpkin carving, temple with Nori, letter from Luke, BYU Football...

For FHE, we decided to proceed with the annual pumpkin carving festivities

Tim decided to carve a fun, "BOO!" on his and Amy decided to put a miniature pumpkin in a large pumpkin jail cell-they were both darling cute!

We put lights in and then they went on display

We had so much fun, we will probably plan to do another round of carving before Halloween is finished for another year...

We made a big batch of roasted pumpkin seeds and they were so yummy!

Roasting Pumpkin Seeds!

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. Toss seeds in a bowl with the melted butter and salt. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally.

On Thursday, Nori and I went to the Provo City Center Temple and then out to lunch at Los Hermanos.  It was so fun!  We stopped by the health food store on the way back and I picked up some red pepper, celery, onion, and chicken which I used to make stuffed peppers for dinner.
Our flowers in the front do much better when I plant basil with them (keeps the bugs away)

Luke came home from school this week and handed me this lovely letter that he wrote all by himself-LOVE IT!!!  Made my day!!!!

Amy attended the baptism of a special friend this week.

My mission companion from the MTC gave us some tickets to the BYU Homecoming game.  It was so much fun.  She gave us four tickets so Brian and Chloe were able to go too!  It was neat to catch up with these amazing sisters from the CA San Diego Mission days.  We are planning a big reunion in April.  CAN'T WAIT!!!
