October!

We had a big wind come in along with some much needed rain.  The fall colors are in full bloom this time of the year and we are enjoying it.

The big news for the week is that Jared is getting married to Taylor (he met her at BYU-I) on January 2nd in the Columbia River Washington temple.  Her family is from Washington State. It is about 10 hours from here, but we are planning on making the trip to see them get married.  He is so above and beyond happy.  She is a neat girl.  She flew out to Oklahoma to meet the family and everyone is excited for Jared.

Mindy came by on Monday with the kids and we had a fun visit.  Lexi Beth is doing very well  She is sleeping and eating perfectly and is growing like a weed.  Mindy made me some delicious pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

This week I caught the bad cold that Tim has been battling for a couple of weeks.  He is feeling a bit better.  Fortunately, I was able to take a couple of days off of work to rest.  I'm starting to feel better now. Tim has been taking very good care of me while I've been down.

Luke has picked up playing catch with the Frisbee and he is very good at it.  Tim took him to the park to roller skate a few times this week.

Rick and Shauna took Grandma Shaffer and Grandma Stout to St. George to visit Aunt Glenda.  They had a fun time.

I've been working on a few organizing projects in the laundry room and ways to increase our food storage.  It has made a big difference in how smoothly the laundry gets done now.  I usually finish it all by the end of each day (don't think I've ever been able to say that)!  And the pantry is organized much better too.

We are having a Stake wide fast for missionary opportunities.  I know I need to let my light shine that others may see my good works and glorify my Father in Heaven.  I'm grateful for the blessings the gospel has given me.  Especially for Tim, my children and for the opportunity I had to serve a mission. It was a wonderful experience for me and I think of it often.

Food storage projects are coming along!
