Welcome 2022! New Year's, Birthday Month, Eilee's Wedding, Stake Women's Conference...

Welcome 2022! New Year's, Birthday Month, Stake Women's Conference...

We rang in 2022 with our traditional game night, sparklers, etc.
This year we had Devon, Kayla, Michael and Eric, and a few of Amy's friends to celebrate with us.

It was fun recreating this photo from a past reunion in Blanding, UT
These kids have certainly grown up quite a bit!

Amy decided to stay home this semester for work and to take classes online.
So excited to have her back!

January 2022 saw a huge spike in Covid cases and flights were being canceled because of not having enough flight crew to run normally scheduled flights.  Jared and Taylor got stuck in the SLC airport on their way from Washington State to Oklahoma which was good for us because we got to see them for a quick catch up visit.

We missed them when we went to Oklahoma in November, so this was a perfect opportunity to bond with their boys. They are so cute!!!

The first week in January, we had a tankless gas water heater and water softening system installed downstairs. The tank water heater was working fine, but it is 13 years old and due to go out, so we decided to convert over to a tankless which should last at least another 20 years.
We have endless hot water!

We decided to move our food storage to the utility room for easier access to the kitchen.

Then we began the birthday celebrations...

January is a big month for birthdays at our house and we started off with Amy turning 22!

She wanted to go out for her birthday dinner to Los Hermanos, but Brian and Chloe were a bit nervous to take their little ones with the Covid numbers being so high (13,000 in one day-YIKES!)
We elected to pick up take-out this time and to go out to dinner at a later date.

Yum!

I think it was Chloe who found this fun game where the parent's stand behind the kids and answer questions and if it applies to that child, their face gets dunked in some whipped cream!
It was pretty fun!!!

W's personality is exploding with the cutest sayings!

Luke, Amy and Brian had some tickle fun

Sunday dinners with the family

Tim and I got our recommends renewed and then we went to the Mt. Timpanogos temple for the first time in 2022!

And we got to attend Eilee's wedding in the Draper Temple!

Amy was honored to be a bridesmaid

We counted that this is her 5th time to be a bride's maid:
Megan, Chloe, Alyssa P., Alyssa C., and Eilee!
So fun!!!

I got to help with refreshments which was an assortment of different popcorns with toppings and sprinkles, hot chocolate and apple cider-so cool!!!

The newly married couple ran out to the car and Eilee threw the bouquet...

Guess who caught it ;)

So cute!!!

Our missionary niece who is serving in Canada and has a birthday the same as Luke sent this fun photo
She is loving her mission so much

Next, it was Luke's turn...

We celebrated Luke's birthday with a family dinner

He turned 20!

Make a wish!!!

Happy birthday Luke!  We love you!!!

Trips to the grocery store

Grandkids

Getting so big!

M loves the piano

Eric brought over a fun surprise gift for Tim
Star Wars light sabers AND Japanese chop sticks, a perfect combination!

Tim loved it!

Then it was my birthday.
Tim took me to see Fiddler on the Roof at BYU which was fabulous!
Loved every minute of it, they did such a great job!!!

Chloe and Amy threw a little girl's night for me, complete with facial masks and Phantom of the Opera.
The music in it is so awesome!!!

Amy put together this lovely charcuterie

The family made me an amazing dinner

And Tim made raspberry chia seed pudding!!!

It was so good!

I got several lovely gifts from family and friends-THANK YOU!!!

We had our Stake Women's Conference which was a morning of fabulous speakers, food and three service activities.  We made quilts for the Afghan refugees coming to Utah, winter hats and we made Valentine cards for veterans

We tied 12 quilts

It was fun to get together with the sisters in our Stake

The grandkids came over and we frosted cookies

Love them so much!!!

Luke had a few stay at home learning days because of the high Covid case counts and his teachers brought over some fun lessons to our house.  Amazing!

Luke especially loved the shaving cream and baking soda activity

They also decorated our front door for him.  So nice!!!
