We spread the 4th of July celebration over a few days...
Aunt Susan and Uncle Dave came into town to help their grandson's family move to Pennsylvania and Tim got to have a fun visit with them...
For Family Home Evening, we went on a fun hike to Granite Flats. Well, it was fun until Luke had a little melt down and we had to head home...Hikes are getting to be harder for him.
His teacher brought over an end of the year book with pictures of his classmates and Luke loves to look through it...
This little princess turned 5 and had a Sailor Moon birthday party
We played with squirt guns and balloons in the backyard, had a yummy gyoza birthday dinner and a special birthday cake that Kelsee made. it was beautiful and so YUMMY!!!
Then it was Rick's turn and we celebrated with a decadent chocolate ice cream cake...
The kids helped him open his present-a tool box with tools to put inside...
Little Wesley has started WALKING and he got a third tooth with a fourth very close to peeking out...
We put up new drapes
Luke started summer school on Tuesdays, with home school on Mondays and Fridays...
Cute Wesley
An article about the grass fire last week
Tim made chocolate chip cookies in several healthy varieties using applesauce
Summer fun!
Then on to the 4th of July...
We had fun with some snaps, poppers, and sparklers on the 3rd...
And then on the 4th we had a bbq with Lentil sloppy Joe's- or "Untidy Joseph's" as we renamed them because lentils are a bit fancier than the "sloppy" and we had regular hot dogs, veggie shish kabobs and a special 4th of July Jello treat...
Rick brought the kids over to celebrate. It was awesome to see them!
After dark, we drove over by the sandbox and watched the fireworks that were going off all over the valley-especially at Thanksgiving Point...
We decided to make Chicken Tikka Masala for the Choate reunion in a couple of weeks and make a trial run dinner...it is a GO!!!
