W is crawling! Porch refresh, Mother's Day, Luke graduates, Full moon, Waterford Teacher Appreciation, Sister Stout in St. Petersburg during Isolation, Luke loves masks!
We have been doing Zoom calls with M and L, but a couple of times M has broken down and said, "Grandma, why can't we come visit-we are not sick and you are not sick, so why can't we see you?" Oh man, this pandemic is a crazy, hard to understand thing for little ones! Utah is going from a "Code Red" to a "Code Orange" which means that some businesses are opening back up (with restrictions) and you can now meet in groups of 20 or less, so we will be able to see the kids soon! The library is still closed, so Tim and I are still working from home, although I do go in once a week now to catch up on processing new materials. I can order books from home. Tim finished up at UVU.
This little guy started crawling!
Working on the new front stairs...
Mother's Day dinner-Butter chicken curry and Naan bread!
It was sooooo goooood!!!
YUM!!!
Leland came too-he is taking the picture
The Sunday School Presidency is in charge of the Relief Society Mother's Day flowers every year and so Tim has been able to do it for the last 5 years or so. This year the petunias looked pitiful, so Tim got Zenias -so beautiful! The presidency was able to deliver them to sister's homes this Mother's Day since we are not meeting at the church this year...
Waterford honored their teachers this year with a package of goodies delivered right to the house!
Our porch refresh ...
Luke got a pretty cool senior gift this year!!!
Sister Stout is doing great. She has been teaching classes and attending classes from her apartment by phone and she has been training...
W has two teeth now and he can crawl!
Brian's final drawing for his art class at BYU
Tim has been transferring many of our family videos to youtube. They have been so fun to watch!
Luke has homeschool now. He has Seminary with Sister Illum once a week using Zoom, and speech therapy with MS. Starla once a week using Google meet. He also meets with his teacher, Mrs. Gifford twice a week and then his class has a "Field trip" on Fridays with the computer. This
Friday's field trip was on Star Wars. Luke loved it!
Luke's amazing Seminary teacher, Sister Illum, brought him over a Crumbl cookie, card and picture of Christ gift for his graduation-so kind of her!
The Relief Society had a "Guess who this baby is " on Facebook.
Here are the pictures for LaNae and Amy...
This cute kid is finishing up about 15 years of school (including two years of pre-school)
Mr. Weit, the Assistant Principle brought over his cap and gown to our house. So nice of him!!!
So many are making adjustments because of the coronavirus.
This couple got married at the Grand Canyon because the temples are all closed right now!
Jett was baptized and LaNae spoke at their home in Eagle Mountain since we couldn't meet in large groups at the church. It was awesome to see the Choate kids again!
LaNae's cousin's wife passed away after a five year battle with cancer. She is LaNae's age. When she was originally diagnosed, the doctor said she had 18 months to two years left, so it really is a miracle that she made it to five years. We were able to see her funeral in Texas via computer-another huge blessing! This is a message of testimony from her husband...
This past Sunday, as the love of my life returned home to that God that created us, my heart ached beyond description. Then slowly I began to feel calm and peace which “passes all understanding”. I reflected on the extra time we were given and recognized that as a tender mercy from above. In the minutes and hours following her passing, I felt the powerful sustaining and strengthening influence of the prayers of many.
We, as a family, conclude one of the most difficult weeks of our lives. We do so with hearts filled with love and gratitude towards all who have reached out to us to provide comfort and support. This comforting aid has come to us in so many ways. Through all of this, we have felt your love and care for us and, through your actions, we also have felt Heaven’s love. Our family will navigate the coming days, months and years better because of these reminders.
I, personally, am so grateful for life’s journey that has put our family in places that have allowed us to develop wonderful friendships. Shelly and I have often talked about how Heavenly Father’s hand has been in our lives as we have moved to different parts of the country, developing wonderful new associations and leaving a part of our hearts behind in every place we have lived. We have consider all of these friendships to be priceless and eternal.

As much as my heart aches due to this temporary separation, I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that provides the opportunity for us to be reunited. That is were my faith lies and that is what provides some element of peace during this time and going forward. Thank you.
They have a legacy of six kids and 17 amazing grandkids who sang 'There is Peace in Christ" at the funeral. There really IS peace in Christ!
Leland is dating a girl from Canada and she had to go back home because of the Coronavirus, so he took her up to the Canadian border to meet her dad. This was a special date they had to celebrate her birthday. They decorated a blanket-awesome!
LaNae worked on painting the porch

Luke got a hammock installed in his room. He loves to ride in the car and we are hoping that the motion from the hammock with be kind of like riding in a car for him.
There was a gorgeous full moon on May 7th. This picture doesn't quite do it justice...
