Amy's birthday, shopping for mission, Luke's birthday, Amy's talk and open house...

The Choate's came over on Sunday to help celebrate Amy's birthday

Baby Leif was born!

Luke got some fun birthday wishes at SNAP

It is birthday season around here and this year we made crepes for the breakfast in bed.
Luke had french fries (his favorite).

We did lots of shopping for Amy's mission to get her ready, and then I realized that she was pretty much ready to go and there was a window of opportunity for me to fly to Oklahoma to visit mom who is not doing well.  Amy agreed to get Luke off the bus and hold down the fort while I was gone...bless her!

It was great to see mom again.  She is indeed very much near the end and it was priceless to be able to spend a week with her...

And to see so many of my siblings, their spouses, nieces and nephews...

They have grown so much!

Amy delivered a beautiful talk in church on the topic of "Standing as a Witness for Christ." and then many of her friends and family came over after to wish her well...

The day amy entered the Mission Training Center was also Luke's birthday!  He turned 17 years old...

We celebrated that Monday by taking him to Lowe's Extreme sports.  Amy wanted to go to Asa Ramen one last time and we went there before we dropped her off at the MTC.
