Tim's China trip, Liam's baptism, Riley and Megan's wedding reception, the Choate's come over...

This week, we celebrated Rick's 26th birthday with a dinner and birthday cake (see pics).  On Monday, we were supposed to be able to see Saturn.  We looked for it, but couldn't really tell which bright light was Saturn, but the moon was extra round and beautiful!

On Friday, we went to the Lehi City Parade for the local ward primary groups and then I took Amy shopping at Riverwoods while I drove Luke around to some of our old stomping ground places, such as the ward building where Tim and I met each other, and this house where we tended a family of four kids for two weeks while their parents went on a trip to Brazil. That was back when Ricky was a 6 month old baby.  One of the kids had night terrors and the oldest daughter listened to this song called, "I Will Walk 500 Miles," over and over, and there was a really neat fish tank that was built as a wall between two rooms.  It was pretty awesome! Ahhh, the memories!

We went to Liam's baptism and to Riley and Meagan Evan's (Tim's cousin, Mindy Evan's  from Arizona's son)'s wedding reception in Midway.  The Choate's came over for dinner on Sunday and we had fun catching up with them.

Luke has been doing this funny snorting laugh thing.  He gets the biggest kick out of it!  It is hilarious!

Todd is in Maebashi - shi!

His letter:

Crazy to be back. Got a huge welcome back from the Ward! I am way psyched to probably finish my Mission in
Maebashi!!

It’s way cool actually, since I am in Maebashi I go back to Takasaki
all the time and get to see members and investigators n’ stuff, so no
complaints! As always I was way bummed to leave an area, especially
since it has been my shortest by far, but if you have to transfer this
is the way to do it.

Tell Rick happy birthday for me!! He’s lookin way good in his
pictures!! Almost as amazing as his little adorable children that I am
excited to chase around for hours. And which I will only speak to in
Japanese.

You asked where I am living now.. I am not sure how to answer that..  Maebashi? It’s like, a 2 minute walk from Maebashi church. AAAAAH!!
Amy is starting her papers?? Oh my goodness, I gotta start helping her
practice Japanese.. She’ll be way grateful once she gets here and
realizes how much she wishes she studied earlier! Please tell Bishop
Rollins that I love him, and am incredibly grateful for each extra
push he gave. I wasn’t pushing nearly hard enough on my own to get
back to the temple and on a mission, he definitely is to thank for
that.

1. Try any funny foods lately?
Uh.. I went to a restaurant and one of the investigators that
I am really close with pointed to a random spot on the
menu and told me to get it, so I get this way insanely good 牛丼 with
yogurt Wasabe. It was pricey for a small bowl, and it was insanely
delicious.

2. Are you staying healthy?
Yep! I still work out 2 times a day and diet n’ stuff! It’s great!

3. How is the work going in Maebashi?
There weren’t any investigators when I got here, but we now have 3
that we have met with multiple times, and one who came to church!

4. How are the Uchidas? We love them!

Uchidas are fantastic, we are doing a mogi this week with them! I am
sure you know that their son got married last week, so everyone got
together! They have some sweet pics

5. How is your new mission president? Have you met him yet?
we meet him this Thursday. Little nervous.. But it’ll be awesome!

I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!! I hope that this letter and the pics are
slightly better than normal! My new comp is amazing at taking
pictures!!!
